| Picture Framing FAQs: |
 |
Q1 : What is a stretcher bar? A stretcher bar is used to construct a wooden stretcher frame used by artists to mount their canvases or by Canvas printers. They are traditionally a wooden framework support on which an artist fastens a piece of canvas.
Q2 : Can I order a picture frame without ordering any prints? Yes, just find the moldings and select the width and height and add it to the shopping cart.
Q3 : Do you offer custom framing services? Yes, we offer a comprehensive selection of frame styles at very competitive prices. You can view the selection on our Frames & Mouldings page. Please contact us for custom picture framings.
Q4 : What is a Liner? Liners are fabric-covered moulding, used inside the outer moulding in a frame design. A liner is not completely finished, so it would not be used as the only moulding for a frame. Liners often are used in place of mats on framed canvas prints or oil paintings.
Liners serve much the same visual purpose as a mat, separating the work from its frame. |
